Rehab For Her is a Women's Health Physical Therapy Center located in Prairie Village, a suburb of Kansas City.

We help women through sincere, compassionate physical therapy to overcome back and tailbone pain, pelvic pain, incontinence, organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, pre and post-natal rehab, Diastasis Recti, bowel dysfunction, and other ailments.

About Shannon DeSalvo, PT

Shannon DeSalvo, Pelvic Physical Therapist Headshot

Shannon DeSalvo is a pioneer & leader of women’s health physical therapy. Throughout her career, Shannon has specialized in female pelvic dysfunction and rehabilitation as an advocate, skilled practitioner, professor, and author.

  • Shannon became one of the first in the nation to be certified in Pelvic Physical Therapy in 2008 through the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • She has solely developed two hospital-based Pelvic PT Programs for St. Mary's Hospital (Milwaukee, WI) and Olathe Medical Center (Olathe, KS).

  • Shannon belongs to the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS) and has a CAPP Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.
  • Developed the first women’s health elective course for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Rockhurst University, with her custom-built curriculum used to date in this specialty class.

  • Shannon is a published author of three textbooks for Pelvic Physical Therapy, geared to educate healthcare providers, especially physicians, nurse practitioners and other physical therapists.
